Competitive

Anyone is welcome to try out for the competitive team during tryouts at the beginning of each semester. As this team is a competitive team, we are only able to take 40 players total, 20 men and 20 women. Over the year, we attend several tournaments in Maryland, Virginia, and the DC area. To determine attendees, there is an A team, consisting of the top 5 members from the male team and the top 5 members from the female team, and a B team with the same split and next 5 on the ladder. To qualify for these spots, we maintain a ladder of existing players interested in the competitive team. Each player is ranked and can challenge the players above them to reach a higher ranking. To see the ladder at any time, please see the Players section on our website. Competitive team members attend at least 2 practices per week and the mandatory Saturday practice.
